I have been noticing that JadenGrace is answering questions lately--without just repeating back what she hears. When I would ask her, "Jaden, are you sleepy?", she would say, "No, ok?" or "Jaden sleepy."
But about a week ago I noticed her just answering me: "Jaden, are you sleepy?" would get a "No." response, and sometimes even a shake of her head.
So today, one of her aides at school verified that they are seeing the same thing. She is consistently answering questions with 'yes' or 'no'.
Also, my girl has stayed dry for long amounts of time this past week! She spent three days at school with not one wet Pull-Up. She also stayed dry at night for about 5 of the nights. She is so very excited about what she can do!
This is such a huge step in her progress. Many autistic children never become potty trained.
It is amazing how much this progress means to me.
