JadenGrace was out of school today so she traveled with me to take care of many errands. We stopped at Publix, the local grocery store, and she did very well. She looks a bit odd, being 4 1/2, 48 pounds, in the front of the grocery cart but I do what works. When we finished paying, the bagger helped me push Jaden out to the car. On the way, he said, "She is the most well-behaved child I have seen here today."
Wow.
I just had to tell him that two years ago, I had decided that JadenGrace could no longer tolerate shopping at Publix because the moment we entered the store, she stared up at the lights and screeched. A sound I cannot even describe. When she wasn't screeching, she was crying or whining. People stared and wondered what was wrong, or worse- why was she such a brat?
I honestly thought at that time there was a great possibility that her shopping days were over.
Sometimes I have to pinch myself to see clearly, and to see that my girl has come so far. Praise God!
