Work!

This weekend Reg stayed home with the kids while I stayed at our church http://www.first-assembly.org/ to serve Breakthrough weekend. I was gone from Friday at dinner until Sunday afternoon. It is amazing to see how much God can change a heart in such a short time. I love to have a part in what He is doing for people! But, that wasn't my reason for posting.
When I got home, Reg told me (he does this everytime I go away for a few days) that doing the work that I do everyday is so huge...so much...so exhausting...and that he was glad I was home. He also called the olders and talked with them about being more 'observant' of what needs to be done around the house...in addition to being generally helpful without any attitudes, because it is impossible for one person to do all that needs to be done here for six people.
I just want to say, if you are someone's husband, your wife feels loved when you care for her in this way. When you notice how important she is, when you take steps to protect her from weariness, when you encourage her with your thankfulness, when you rally the 'troups' to offer practical help. Her heart will then be very softened and tender towards you and more willing to meet all of your needs! It's a vicious cycle, really.
