On Sunday afternoon I was reminded of Custom Probiotics and how well Jaden did when she took them at around 2-3 years old, when she was a patient of the amazing Julie Buckley. I would buy the probiotics from her and she would only charge me what she paid for them. After we switched doctors, we stopped using Custom and went on to many others, none that worked quite as well. I went drooling over the website:
http://www.customprobiotics.com/ (Some ladies drool over jewelry and clothes but I drool over anything for good health.) I got this thought in my mind to just email and ask the company if they had a program to offer to families who had a hard time paying for the probiotics. I never imagined what would happen next--after all, it was a Sunday afternoon and most customer service is not even open then. It only took a little while before I received an email asking how Custom had helped Jaden in the past. I wrote a mini-book on that and sent it back. The kind man sent a simple message back: Send me your address. Today, Thursday, I received a bottle of the d-lactate free powder in the mail. That thing looked beautimus and yes, I really did drool. I also cried. I thought of the generosity of this person who sent them. I thought of how kind God has been to my girl. How a family like us--four children with varying special needs and a hardworking man who patrols the highways faithfully to provide for his family--could feel so rich. Though we be po, we be rich. God's grace!! A big SHOUT OUT to:
