One of my favorite CD's is Revival in Belfast: Live Worship with Robin Mark in Northern Ireland. It stays in our CD player all the time because I love to push play and listen while I do kitchen duty. Jaden has a favorite song on the CD--#9-'When it's all said and done'. She grabs my hand and takes me to the player and puts it on the start button. I go all the way to number 9 and then she lifts her arms to get me to pick her up. You see, we have been dancing to this song for a long, long time. Once she is up in my arms, we dance around the kitchen and I sing to her the incredible words. Listen carefully:
When it's all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth?
Did I live my life for you?
When it's all been said and done
All my treasures will mean nothing
Only what I've done for love's reward
Will stand the test of time
-----
Lord, your mercy is so great
That you look beyond our weakness
And find purest gold in miry clay
Making sinners into saints
---
I will always sing your praise
Here on earth and ever after
For you've shown me Heaven's my true home
When it's all been said and done
You're my life when life is gone
---
(repeat chorus)
--------------------
Oh, boy. I cry writing the words to this song. How grateful I am that God saved me out of the muck and mire and set my feet upon the rock. How grateful I am that he is faithful to his children and gives wisdom and mercy when we cry out to him. How grateful I am that JadenGrace was created and given to us. And that she loves to dance with me. And listen to my voice.
