Update on HBOT

HBOT: Hyperbaric Oxegyn Treatment
(Did I spell that right? It doesn't look right)
Seeing lots of good things with JadenGrace! We just finished our 10th dive and things are progressing along very nicely. Yeast and bacteria are under control (I imagine they don't like that pure air?) and lots of learning and growing going on. Jaden has been playing with great creativity and the therapists are really excited and jumping on the opportunity to teach her many things. I am working hard at home doing the same type play, so that it sticks. Joint attention is really great right now--she is constantly looking at me to see what I think of things. It feels strange after all these years of her never doing that--sometimes I have to remind myself to look into *her* eyes because I am so used to us never doing that. She is answering questions about 90 percent of the time and getting quick at it, too! She allowed me to clip her toenails last night! She has never once, in all her six years of life, cooperated with that. She has been keeping us giggling with some of the things she is saying, too. I am so glad I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget:
We were riding in the car and Jaden was looking at the clouds. She said, "I see an elephant in a tutu!!"
This morning she was in the living room with Lance and Justin and they tooted and thought that was so funny, of course. (I do, too, but shhh don't tell anyone). Jaden looked up at me and said simply, "Skunks!"
Tonight when I was threatening her heiny for not staying in bed, she said, "But Mama, will you please lie down by me?" and I said, "I can't do that, Jaden. I have many things to do" She said, "Well, you don't need to lie down, then. You can just sit by me and rock me like a baby"
Ha! That girl! Sometimes the smallest people really do take up the most room in a heart.
