the good and the bad

the good is far better than the bad ;O)
Jaden has started saying a ton of new words lately. She points out things in her favorite book and says them. So far, since Christmas, she has learned:
shoes
socks
baby
boots
clock
night-night
eat
duck
dog
peas
grapes
banana
berries
apple
rabbit
moon
heart
She doesn't say them very clearly, and some of these are words she learned a long time ago but 'lost'. Now they are back, probably for good.
Prayer request: that she will begin using these words meaningfully. Not just pointing and saying, but to ask for an apple, for instance, instead of just knowing it is an apple.
And our usual routine for going outside to play, usually with Daddy: she has to pick the photo of outside, and hands it to Reg. Then he says, "Ok, let's get your shoes" and she goes over to them and tries to put them on. But today she was at the back door and saw Reg outside and wanted to get out there with him. Her photo is by the front door. She started to cry. So Reg said "Ok, don't cry. You can come outside" and he started to come get her. She ran to go get her shoes, on her own, without being asked! :O)
The bad: she was up for three hours last night, in the middle of the night, laughing and playing and pulling my hair, and crying when she climbed off the bed and couldn't get back on. I am so grateful that she is a good sleeper normally, and this doesn't happen too often...I admit to dosing her with Benedryl, finally. She was snoozing only 20 minutes later. ;O)
So, you see, the good far outweighs the bad.

that's a pretty good "bad" is what I was trying to say. All things considered, that bad is not too bad at all.
