Small miracles

Jaden has been saying longer words lately--like toothbrush and treehouse. The other day she was riding in the backseat of the car after we picked up Lance from school. I heard her back there 'reading' a book. This particular book had an apple on the front cover, so she said very plainly, "apples". Lance and I were so excited and he reached to the back seat to point to the apple and encourage Jaden to say it again. She then pushed his hand away and said, "ME has book!" Oh, my. I was so very excited! (Any other child, I would have said, "No being so rude!" :O)
We have decided to keep Jaden home from school on Thursdays. This gives her a break from the long bus ride and it gives us a long day to spend with her. The day is quiet while she is in school but we sure enjoy her company when she gets home. She gets here at 3:10 and goes to bed at 7:30, though, and we think that is not quite enough time to be together. So this is working out well.
I was supposed to go to work when the children started school. Every door has closed, though, and I don't know how any employer would put up with me taking off at least one morning a week for all of the meetings I have with teachers and such. IEP's, update meetings, serving, open house, Dr appts, speech and occupational therapy twice a week, tutors, phone calls, paperwork, more phone calls to make sure everyone is doing what they say they are going to do. :O)
I did start working in our church nursery for one of the services on Sundays. I love, love, love taking care of the tiny people and to think I get a paycheck to do it! Amazing. It is not work to me. I look forward to it so much. Oh, to kiss tiny cheeks--there is nothing like it! Another testimony to God's grace: only a few months ago I could attend one service only because that was all that JadenGrace could handle. One hour or so....and then I had to get her and bring her home. But for the past 6 weeks or so, she has been staying for two whole services and when I go to get her at the end, she is *still* happy. Praise the Lord! He is so faithful, even in the small requests.
"He tenderly leads those who have young...." (can't remember where this is in the Bible--someone help)
Young Moms--cry out to Him! He will answer you and give you what you need to raise your children! He is so very kind and merciful and he wants you to succeed in raising your children.
