The house is so quiet--hubs is off to work and the older children are in NJ visiting my family! JadenGrace is in bed snug and safe, after a warm lavender bath. It is nice, but strange for my home to be so quiet. I have a few things I need to do, but thought an update might be nice. One of the things I am asking God to help me with is to be faithful in posting updates more often. And to stop eating sugar again. I realized I have gained 6 pounds in the last couple of months. Lack of faithful exercise and too many sweets!
My girl is home for several weeks--no school or therapies to rush to--and seems to be enjoying it. She sleeps in (7am ;o) ) and plays with dolls, paints, uses playdoh, and tries to 'help' me do dishes and laundry, and lately, the baking. I am amazed at how much she wants to be with us, interacting with us and be involved in every detail. She is also starting to play well, pretending, by herself. In the past we would need to get on the floor with her and 'teach' her how to pretend. It is exhausting and would only last a few minutes at a time. Over the past few days, I have noticed Jaden sitting with her babies, putting them to bed, feeding them, hugging them and bossing them like crazy.
She keeps asking about Morgan and Lance--"where Morgan and Lance?" and doesn't seem to comprehend any answer I give her. She smiled big when Lance talked with her on the phone today, and he commented on how good her speech is getting. (The good things are always more apparent over the phone, when you miss someone badly)
