~First day of Kindy!~

Today Jaden went to Kindergarten! She did very well. Her teacher is excellent with the children, very encouraging to them and rewarding them often for good behavior. She has had 20 years of experience working with and for children with disabilities. Her class has 12 children--9 boys and 3 girls. About half have autism. They are different ages ranging from Kindergarten to 2nd grade.
Jaden seemed very content to get back into a very structured routine. She definately fell off the wagon this past summer, watching too much Dora and while she learned some Spanish, listening to her quote Dora all day long get very wearisome!
A funny: When I woke her this morning, I was talking softly to her and rubbing her back. She was awake but hadn't opened her eyes yet. I asked her, "Jaden-today is a school day! Do you want to get up and get ready for school?"
She just shook her head 'no' while keeping her eyes closed.
She went to bed this evening at 7:30 so I think tomorrow will be easier!
